I don't know how I did today because I haven't looked at a scale. It's been a very depressing, emotional night. When my husband hasn't had his pain pills, or they wear off, he is a different person and it's hurtful and scary to me.
Looking at a scale does not determine how you are doing! I'm sorry that Cam is rough when off his meds. Don't let that stop you. If you need to "walk away" and get out while you are stressed, then do it! Take a walk and get some fresh air! hang in there!
Sharon, I don't know you or your husband at all to comment much on this, but just know you are in my thoughts today. Sounds like you didn't have that great of a day or night yesterday. Hang in there! And don't worry about the dumb scale (I should take my own advice on that.). Focus on feeling good about yourself and taking care of yourself by eating healthy and/or exercising.
mom, emotional stress definately takes a toll on you. You have to remember that if you continually allow the things in your life to overtake your goals, you wont get anywhere. I know firsthand what you are saying, and I am sorry you have to face this daily. However, take a step back, literally and tell him that you need a moment and the reason why. He needs to know that his choices are directly affecting you and your ability to accomplish your goals. He WILL be supportive of that, he wants you to succeed as much as we do!! I love you-
I am a wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, aunt and cousin. I'm sure there are those who have called me many other things, but I ignore them. I have 21 grandchildren, six kids of my own and 3 from my husband, and I spend a lot of time helping my family out. I am my husband's full-time care-giver, and home school my son and granddaughter, who are 3 months apart and in the same grade. I sometimes love to run away for a few hours. I go to the gym at 5:50 each morning, if I can get my hind-side out of bed. I am well-rounded, and that's why I am trying to lose weight :)
